Support the troops? Not in Mass.

The anti-war SPs won't be happy until we are all as miserable as they are. The article puts it better than I can regarding the People's Republic of Cambridge, although I would tend to make it the People's Republic of Massachusetts, as they have cracked down on Boy Scouts who were just trying to support the troops.

I for one am glad that we have people like this protecting us from those dangerous Boy Scouts. How dare they try and support the men and women who are risking (and in some cases, giving) their lives to protect our freedoms!!!!

I was an Eagle Scout, and am an ardent supporter of the troops, so quite frankly, I am appalled. If these people don't support the war, fine, whine and complain about it, they have the freedom to do that. But why are they taking their aggression out on the troops, who ironically are protecting their right to be idiots?

The only "political statement" being made here is the one that the SPs are making, that their rampant anti-war sentiment is going to take more precedence than anything else, including the comfort and morale of our troops. As long as they make it known that they can stomp their feet like two year olds and complain about the war, they don't care about anything else.
