It's About Time: Sheehan "Quits!"

Anti-war and anti-Bush moonbat Cindy Sheehan has quit as the "face" of the anti-war movement, in her words. Apparently, she is also upset with the Democratic party, and so she is leaving that too. It says a lot about how messed up the Democratic party is today when they have a crazy activist who fits all their criteria (leftist, yells, hates Bush, hates Iraq) and she's still "leaving the party." I'm sure Ralph Nader will be happy to have her vote; that should give him something like a 200% increase in his voter base.

Let me get back to Sheehan, though, before I get too far off base; correct me if I'm wrong, but when has Sheehan ever been the "face" of anything? The last I checked, she was a shrill leftist dishonoring the memory of her son while attacking the Bush administration and consorting with tyrannical leaders such as Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. This whole "quitting" thing is, as most of the thing she does are, just another publicity stunt. I think that we can just let her fade into obscurity and be remembered as that one angry woman who yelled about a lot of stuff (well, make that the second angry woman, after Eve Ensler, of course).

Good riddance. Now, if we could just get Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell to close their collective mouths, we could really start to put a dent into the leftist hate machine.

Russia's Assault on Freedom of Speech Continues

Eight Russian reporters have resigned in protest when their news agency announced that it was going to make sure it ran half of its coverage as "pro government" pieces. Talk about an attack on the very foundation of free speech and freedom of the press.

Illegal Aliens Are "Law Abiding" People?

The whole Fort Dix attack plan is bad enough, but did you know that the Muslims who were planning to slaughter American troops were also illegal immigrants, who had lived in this country for 23 years?

Apparently, they operated in so-called "sanctuary areas" where local law enforcement does not report illegal alien activity.

Let's read that again: local LAW ENFORCEMENT is not reporting ILLEGAL alien activity. Does it really surprise anyone that we have problems with illegal immigration when our own cops are doing nothing about it because of politics?

Anyone else tired of the Democrat's incessant defeatism about Iraq?
